Herstellende van de Dutch Design Week...
Ik deel wat inspo die ik daar trof. Met weinig toelichting want ik moet even bijkomen.
En een VPRO Tegenlicht docu uit 2014: de herovering van het nu. In het verlengde van mijn filters van vorige week, de zoektocht naar vertraging en kluizenaren.
DDW Zon opvangen kan ook mooi zijn.

De zon levert in één uur evenveel energie als de hele mensheid in een jaar verbruikt. Waarom óógsten we die dan niet? Kunstenaar Marjan van Aubel pleit voor een ‘solar democracy’. Op het moment dat zonnetechnologie gekoppeld wordt aan esthetiek en design, ontstaat een heel nieuw perspectief.

‘Starway to Heaven’ is het godinnenproject waar Marjolein momenteel aan werkt. Het is ontstaan als een zelfonderzoek naar identiteit. Al doende is ze een transformatieproces doorgegaan en deze godinnen laat je in een flits zien hoe dat eruit ziet. Marjolein vraagt zich af: kun jij connectie maken met wie je in wezen bent en je identiteit loslaten? Ze wil laten zien, dat we allemaal ‘types’ in ons dragen. Marjolein heeft zich onder andere laten inspireren op ‘Godinnen in elke vrouw’ van Jean Shinoda Bolen. Elke installatie van Starway to Heaven is een personificatie, die Marjolein linkt aan een archetypische godin.

or my graduation project I made a series of posters about what we can do to combat climate change. I've focused on the little things we can all do to contribute, like taking shorter showers and using less electricity. Because people quickly get tired of all the negative and accusatory environmental messages, I wanted to tell this in a lighthearted way. I communicate my message through posters designs using a retro style, inspired by old horror movie genre posters. In this way I hope to both entertain and create awareness at the same time. The posters have been developed using both analogue and digital techniques. The lines are drawn with ink to give a rough texture and the colors and text have been added digitally. This way I combine two forms in which I enjoy working to show my creative expression. I have enjoyed delving into my interests and making something that has soul.
