Omdat ik al wat laat ben (ik was afgeleid want een week aan het werk op Terschelling, heerlijk!).
Muziek is goddelijk. En dat bedoel ik vrij letterlijk.
Ik lees Burnout, van Emily en Amelia Nagoski. En ik lees een citaat dat mij in de toekomst gaat helpen. Niet alleen om aan mensen uit te leggen waarom ik toch zo lekker ga op alles wat met Metal te maken heeft, ook om muziek nog meer in te zetten voor 'mood management'. Voor mezelf en in mijn werk. Systemen en instituties die ooit waren opgericht om steun en hoop te bieden aan mensen in de meest benarde positie, zijn de afgelopen decennia geoliede machines geworden van geïnstitutionaliseerd wantrouwen, waar niemand na de toeslagenaffaire nog vertrouwen in heeft. Ons huidige systeem vermaalt al te vaak de hoop van al te veel mensen.
